9 - Use the App to Connect with the Light

  • Open the App.
  • Turn ON the Security Light.
  • Activate the Bluetooth on your smartphone. Make sure to stay within 25 feet of the Security Light when attempting to connect.
  • In the App, look for the “Add Device” button at the bottom of the screen, and press it to access the Add Device screen.

To manually select your light, tap on the "Motion Activated Light" icon and follow the prompts.

To automatically select your light, tap on the "Scan QR code to add device" icon.  The App will activate your smartphone camera.  Point it at the appropriate QR code in the instruction manual or on the Quick Start Guide.

Slide the gray "Scanning devices..." button down to scan for your light. When the light is found ("1.SecurityLightAPP" in our example here), select it.

Tap the "Test" button, and the light should activate.  (If you have multiple lights, this is a convenient way to know you've activated the correct light.) Otherwise, click on the "+" button to add this light to you "My Devices" menu.
